Perfect Love
God is Love
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8
Without a doubt, our society is performance based. Performance is the backbone of a capitalist society. Promotions, raises, job offers and contracts are all awarded based on expected or produced results, (except of course when unfair treatment or politics come into the equation).
So while the worldly system rewards those who do good, we never have to worry whether we will be on the receiving end of God’s grace. Because God loved us first and His love is perfect and unconditional. We can’t do or not do anything to destroy His love for us we can only reject it. And God gives to each of us the exact same – regardless of who we are or what we have done.
Because God loved us first and loves us completely regardless of our actions, we are moved to love others unconditionally. There no longer is any measure of worth based on merit, but only based on how much our Heavenly Father loves us.
We love because he first loved us. 1 John 4:19
Because God is love, through Jesus Christ we are unconditionally accepted.
